If you suspect the gas jet might be blocked you can try and clean it out.

Lift up the lid of the Bangalore and look for the gas injection core. Note how far out of the gas injection tube the core sits so you can replace it in the same position afterwards.

Unscrew the bolt that retains the injection core in the tube and remove the core. The gas jet is the small, brass nipple at the end of the injection core.

Very gently unscrew the gas jet. Treat it carefully as it could be deformed and affect the performance of your Bangalore.

Hold the gas jet up to the light and see if it's clear.

If it's blocked, try and clear it by blowing into it

Warning! Never insert anything into the gas jet to clear it - it could damage the shape and affect the performance of your Bangalore.

When replacing the gas jet into the injection core, tighten it finger tight only. Over-tightening could damage the gas jet.

Reseat the injection core in the injection tube at the same height as before and secure in place with the bolt.
